The Akyga® AK-SC-E13 Type 2 plug is an accessory for replacement or assembly on EV charging cables. It is perfectly suited for replacing a damaged connector in an adaptor, as well as for creating a customised EV charging cable. The plug is equipped with a Type 2 male connector (IEC62196-2), commonly known as Mennekes. This version is among the most popular connector types in the European electric car market. The male connector is used to connect the cable on the EVSE charging station side.
Akyga's Type 2 service plug is characterised by its high-quality construction and durability, which ensures long-lasting and reliable use. Furthermore, the pins of the Type 2 connector have been coated with a layer of silver. This increases their resistance to corrosion and allows a current load of up to 32 A, which is suitable for single-phase systems.
