The long 5 m cable ends in a type 2 plug (IEC 62196-2). This fits the majority of cars manufactured for the European market. At the other end is a single-phase IEC 60309 plug, which guarantees a reliable and robust connection when quickly charging your vehicle. What's more, the charger also allows you to regulate the current according to your needs and the capabilities of your electrical installation. To take full advantage of the charger's capabilities, a 32 A electrical installation and the appropriate fuses are required.
Information you need on the LCD display
The practical ControlBox with integrated LCD display is located on the charger cable. Thanks to it, it is possible to regulate charging power, to set charging time limits and to display basic parameters such as charging current and power, mains voltage, total energy consumed by the device, charger temperature and charging time. As many as five current values are available: 6, 10, 16, 20 and 32 A. By choosing the right amperage, you can be sure that your electric vehicle's internal charger will not draw more power than your installation can handle.
Charging safety
The EVSE AK-EC-14 portable charging station has the most important features found mainly in wallboxes. These include, above all, safety features which provide the necessary protection for both the power supply itself and the vehicle being charged. This includes protection against excessive current and voltage, as well as against overheating of the charger and the vehicle battery. Furthermore, just like the wallbox, this charger can also be hung on the wall. For this purpose, a handle has been placed on the back of the housing, which not only helps to ensure tidiness, but also significantly reduces the risk of damaging the ControlBox.
Overcurrent protection. The charger will switch off if it detects an overload of the stabiliser.
Thermal protection protects against overheating of the power supply, which could result in damage.
Protection against overvoltage at the charger's output. Protects the device being charged from damage.
The built-in temperature sensor in the plug ensures safety and protects against the consequences of overheating the battery in the car. Thanks to a suitable controller, the device regulates the parameters so as to maintain the optimum temperature during the charging process.

In addition, the charger has been designed to withstand the harsh conditions specified by the IP54 sealing class. The materials from which it is made are extremely durable and resistant. Therefore it is not threatened by dirt or splashing. In addition, the plug has been protected by a plug, which protects the contacts against flooding or accidental damage.
