Akyga® AK-EC-12 three-phase charger is a way to quickly charge an electric vehicle without exposing the electrical system to excessive overloads. The long 5 m cable is terminated with two plugs. The first one has a Type 2 connector - declared as the standard for charging electric cars in Europe, while the second is equipped with a CEE 5-pin (IEC 60309) connector, which allows charging at 400 volts. The high quality of the cables used guarantees a stable connection when charging with the power of up to 11 kW. Therefore, you will charge your electrician quickly and without restrictions, using a power socket in your garage.
Information you need on the LCD display
The charger has a control panel called ControlBox. It allows you to choose the current from: 6, 8, 10, 13 and 16 A, as well as setting the charging time limit from 1 to 10 hours. What is more, the ControlBox has a built-in LCD screen. It displays current charging parameters such as charging current and power, mains voltage, total energy consumed by the device, charger temperature and charging time.
Charging safety
The AK-EC-12 charger is basically a portable EVSE charging station. It has the most important functionalities found in wallbox stations. These are protections (OVP, OCP, OPP, OTP, SCP), which protect against, among others, excessive current and voltage, as well as overheating of the charger and the vehicle battery. They create the necessary protection for the power supply as well as the charged device. What's more, a handle has been included on the back of the case. It is used to hang the device e.g. on a garage wall, significantly reducing the risk of damaging ControlBox.
Overcurrent protection. The charger will switch off if it detects an overload of the stabiliser.
Thermal protection protects against overheating of the power supply, which could result in damage.
Protection against overvoltage at the charger's output. Protects the device being charged from damage.
The built-in temperature sensor in the plug ensures safety and protects against the consequences of overheating the battery in the car. Thanks to a suitable controller, the device regulates the parameters so as to maintain the optimum temperature during the charging process.

In addition, the charger has been designed to withstand the harsh conditions specified by the IP54 sealing class. The materials from which it is made are extremely durable and resistant. Therefore it is not threatened by dirt or splashing. In addition, the plug has been protected by a plug, which protects the contacts against flooding or accidental damage.

Each charger comes with a convenient carrying case. The bag makes storage easier and ensures the safety of the EV cables.
